GUIDELINES FOR CALENDAR PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

1. All photographs must be as close to, but no larger than: 12" wide x 7" high. The calendar is in a horizontal format, so vertical pictures may end up getting cropped, or reduced in size.

2. All photographs must be in color. Black and white photographs, framed or matted photographs, and Polaroid photographs will not be accepted. The CCC reserves the right to limit the number of photographs submitted per person.

3. All photographs must have been taken either on Chappy or be of Chappy. Unfortunately, we cannot accept photographs that include people, or family pets. The CCC reserves the right to reject photographs that it deems are of an inappropriate nature.

4. Photographs previously submitted in past years’ contests will not be accepted.

5. Photo contest has two age categories:

Children: Up to 18 years of age and

Adults: Anyone 18 or older

6. All photographs must be submitted no earlier than July 1, 2008, and no later than July 25, 2008. Do not send any photographs via email. The photographs will hang in the Community Center for two weeks. There will be a gala opening reception on Monday, July 28, 2008, from 4 - 6 PM. Punch and cookies will be served. Everyone is invited to come vote for their favorites. Please no more than one voting ballot per person. The photograph receiving the most votes in the “Adult” category will appear on the front cover of the 2009 calendar, and the photograph receiving the most votes in the “Children” category will appear on the back cover.

7. Please include your name, address, telephone number, and where the photograph was taken on a separate sheet of paper. This can be affixed to the back of the photograph. However, no names or identification should appear on the front of any photograph.

8. All photographs not selected for the 2009 calendar will be available for pick up at the Chappy Community Center after August 16, 2008. All photographs not used in the calendar and not picked up by August 31, 2008, will be discarded. The Chappy Community Center and its Board of Directors assume no liability for any and all photographs.

9. By entering this photography contest, you are agreeing to allow the Chappy Community Center to use your photograph in the upcoming 2009 calendar.
